Forestry Mulching and Bush Hogging

Forestry Mulching and Bush Hogging

What is Forestry Mulching?

Forestry Mulching is a land clearing method that uses a single machine to cut, grind, and clear vegetation. It also helps to control the spread of invasive species and restore the health of the ecosystem. Mulching the vegetation leaves the soil structure intact. The mulched material can be left on the ground and will act as an erosion barrier while returning nutrients back into the soil through decomposition.

Over time, grass will naturally grow through the mulch and can be maintained with mowing. Forestry mulching is quick and affordable because their are fewer machines and therefore less manual labor. The process of forestry mulching also eliminates the cost of hauling away debris. This service is not only economically efficient but also cost efficient.

What is Bush Hogging?

Bush Hogging is a form of landscaping that eliminates heavy brush to prepare land for farming, hunting, development, and a variety of other uses. A bush hog cuts in a pattern that is both efficient and will help save fuel and time.

The alternative to tending to a field properly would be using a regular riding mower and a weed eater. A more time consuming proposition.

Bush hogging once or twice a year to maintain an established field is required when developing a pasture or hay field.
